The written exam was designed to assess candidates’ knowledge in General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Kerala Renaissance, Simple Arithmetic, Mental Ability, English Language, and Vehicle Mechanism. The paper consisted of objective-type multiple-choice questions totaling 100 marks, with a time duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The exam tested not only general awareness but also basic technical understanding related to driving, vehicle maintenance, and traffic rules — essential for the Assistant Prison Officer-cum-Driver role.
Candidates who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for further stages, which include:
Practical Driving Test – to evaluate driving proficiency and vehicle handling skills.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – to assess physical fitness standards required for uniformed service posts.
Medical Examination – to ensure the candidate meets the prescribed physical and health standards.
The final rank list will be prepared based on the combined performance in all stages of the selection process.
