Interrogative Sentence നെ report ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ reporting verb ആയി asked, enquired, questioned, wanted to know എന്നിവ ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. 'That' ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല. പകരം connecting word ആയി Question word തന്നെ ഉപയോഗിക്കണം. Indirect speech ൽ question mark (?) ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല. ഒരു question ന്റെ ക്രമം auxiliary verb + subject എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ subject + auxiliary verb എന്നാക്കി മാറ്റുക. Direct Speech ൽ 'said to ' വന്നതിനാൽ ഇവിടെ reporting verb ആയി 'asked' ആണ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. Connecting word ആയി Question word ആയ where തന്നെ ഉപയോഗിക്കണം. ഒരു question ന്റെ ക്രമം auxiliary verb + subject എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ subject + auxiliary verb എന്നാക്കി മാറ്റുക. ഇവിടെ are + you going എന്നത് she + was going എന്നാകും.
