Bimbisara (c. 544–492 BCE) is widely considered the founder of the Haryanka dynasty and the first significant king of the ancient Indian kingdom of Magadha.
He played a crucial role in laying the foundation for the expansion of the Magadhan Empire, making it a prominent power in ancient India.
His capital was Rajagriha (modern-day Rajgir in Bihar), which was strategically located and fortified.
