Dog block

  • Escapement wheel and pinion wheel are fixed in a same shaft.

Pinion wheel

  • A small wheel at the center of the typewriter on which the carriage rack moves degree by degree is called pinion wheel
  • The carriage moves on Pinion wheel
  • Pinion wheel is connected to Escapement wheel
