Lyrical Ballads was first published in 1798 by William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. This collection is considered the starting point of the Romantic movement in English literature.
The second edition (1800) included Wordsworth’s famous "Preface," where he outlined his poetic principles, emphasizing ordinary language, rustic life, and deep emotions.
