N.S.Pandala was a genius who invented Malayalam types that suited for Malayalam typewriter and who developed the system of shorthand in Malayalam.
He was proficient in Astrology and Ayurveda also. ‘Malayala Lipi Parishkaram’ , a book on the development of Malayalam Language printing, ‘Jyothisha Padangal’, ‘Manasasthram Adhunika Veekshanathil’, ‘Balayasreeraman’ are some of his works.
