The Ayush Information Hub (AIH) serves as a central repository for information on various traditional Indian systems of medicine and wellness. This includes well-established practices such as Ayurveda, known for its holistic approach to health; Yoga, which integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation; Naturopathy, which relies on natural remedies and the body's innate healing abilities; Unani, a traditional system originating from the Greco-Arabic tradition; Siddha, an ancient Tamil system of medicine; Sowa-Rigpa, the traditional medicine of Tibet; and Homeopathy, a system of alternative medicine based on the principle of 'like cures like'. The inclusion of these diverse systems reflects the Ministry of Ayush's commitment to promoting and preserving India's rich heritage of traditional healthcare.
