The India Industrial Land Bank (IILB) is a project initiated under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Its primary objective is to provide GIS-based information on industrial land availability across India. This platform aims to streamline the process of identifying and acquiring suitable land for industrial projects.
The IILB database includes details on vacant land parcels, existing industrial parks, and special economic zones (SEZs), along with information on their connectivity, infrastructure, and proximity to resources.
The system utilizes Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to map and visualize these land resources, offering a dynamic and interactive platform for investors.
The Ministry of Mines is not the managing authority for the IILB. The IILB is managed by the DPIIT, focusing on industrial promotion and investment facilitation.
