Resource Mobilization is the process of identifying, acquiring, and deploying essential resources during an emergency. The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) plays a crucial role in this by acting as the central point for managing resources at a national level.
When a state's own resources are overwhelmed by a disaster, it sends a request to the NEOC. The NEOC then assesses the needs and coordinates with other states, Union Territories, or national agencies (like the NDRF, Armed Forces, etc.) to mobilize and allocate the required resources. This ensures that aid reaches the most affected areas quickly and efficiently, preventing delays that could lead to further loss of life and property.
