Here are some things that the government lays before the Legislative Assembly:
Ordinances
The Governor can lay ordinances before the Legislative Assembly if the state legislature is not in session. The Governor can promulgate ordinances if they believe it is necessary to take immediate action. The ordinance must be approved by the state legislature within six weeks of its reassembly.
Annual reports and audited accounts
The annual report, audited accounts, auditor's report, and a review by the government on the working of the board must be laid before the state legislature within nine months of the financial year.
Rules
The Lieutenant Governor must lay any rules made by them before the Legislative Assembly as soon as they are made.
The Table of the House is where papers that need to be laid before the Legislative Assembly are formally placed.
