The Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the apex decision-making body of the RBI. It consists of:
Official Directors – Appointed by the Government of India, including the Governor and Deputy Governors of RBI.
Non-official Directors – Representing scheduled commercial banks, cooperative banks, financial institutions, and other sectors.
Government Nominees – Representatives from the Government of India.
So, the board includes representatives of both the government and scheduled banks, not just one or the other.
