The East-West Corridor is planned to connect Silchar in Assam with the port town of Porbandar in Gujarat
The 'East-West' corridor is a major highway project undertaken by the Indian government to connect the eastern and western regions of the country.
It is also known as National Highway 27 (NH-27).
The corridor starts from Porbandar in Gujarat and ends at Silchar in Assam, covering a distance of around 3,400 km.
It passes through several major cities and towns, including Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Agra, Kanpur, Varanasi, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Shillong.
