According to the Andhra Pradesh Co-Operative Societies Act, 1964, the inquiry by the Registrar under Section 51 must be completed within four months. The Registrar may extend the period by up to two months if there are reasons to do so.
The Registrar may inquire into the financial condition, working, and constitution of a co-operative society. The Registrar may initiate action if the managing committee of the society does not take action on the inquiry report. The Registrar may also take follow-up action even if the General Body of the society passes a resolution against the inquiry findings.
