Malwa School of Paintings
Notable examples of paintings in the Malwa style include a Rasikapriya series dated to 1634 AD, an Amaru Shataka series created in 1652 AD at Nasratgarh, and a Ragamala series painted in 1680 AD by the artist Madhau Das at Narsyanga Shah.
The Malwa school of painting remained active until the late 17th century.
A painting from the 1680 Ragamala series, depicting the Megha Raga, serves as a representative example.
Additionally, illustrations of the Bhagavata Purana also exemplify the distinctive characteristics of the Malwa style.
