• Excitement (ആവേശം), emotion (വികാരം) എന്നിവ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വാക്യങ്ങളാണ്. It ends with an exclamation mark (!). So, it is an Exclamatory sentence.
• ചോദ്യരൂപത്തിൽ വരുന്ന വാക്യങ്ങളാണ് Interrogative Sentences.
• Examples -
  • What is your name? / എന്താണ് നിന്റെ പേര്?
  • How will you do it? / നിങ്ങൾ അത് എങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും?
• ആജ്ഞ , അപേക്ഷ, അനുവാദം, ആശംസ, ആഗ്രഹം (Order, Request, Command, Wish) തുടങ്ങിയവ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വാക്യങ്ങളാണ് Imperative Sentence. ഈ വാക്യങ്ങൾ Please/ Kindly/ Let us തുടങ്ങിയ പദങ്ങളിലോ verb ലോ ആരംഭിക്കും. 
• Examples -
  • Don't go now. / ഇപ്പോൾ പോകരുത്.
  • Shut the front door. / മുൻവാതിൽ അടയ്ക്കുക.
• ഒരു Subject ഉം ഒരു Finite Verb* ഉം ഉള്ള വാക്യങ്ങളാണ് Simple Sentence. (Non-finite verbs എത്രയുമാകാം). പൂർണ്ണമായ അർത്ഥം തരുന്ന വാക്യ ങ്ങളായതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഇവ ഒരു Independent Clause ആയിരിക്കും. 
• Examples - 
  • I am a teacher. / ഞാൻ ഒരു അധ്യാപകനാണ്.
  • She is walking. / അവൾ നടക്കുകയാണ്.
