Hyderabad Style of Painting
Painting in Hyderabad began to flourish with the establishment of the Asaf Jahi dynasty by Mir Qamruddin Khan (Chin Qilich Khan), also known as Nizam-ul-Mulk, in 1724 CE.
The existing early Deccani painting styles were significantly influenced by the Mughal tradition, brought to the region by Mughal artists who migrated to the Deccan during the reign of Aurangzeb and found patronage under local rulers.
