The Sayyid and Lodi rulers primarily commissioned tombs (maqbaras), many of which are located around Delhi.
A key architectural advancement during this period was the double dome, which featured a hollow inner dome for structural stability and aesthetic appeal.
All Lodi rulers were buried in Bagh-i-Jud, now known as Lodi Gardens.
Tombs built during this era followed two distinct styles:
Orthogonal tombs – Reserved for royalty
Square tombs – Built for nobles
