A = T: The amount of adenine (A) in DNA always equals the amount of thymine (T).
G = C: The amount of guanine (G) in DNA always equals the amount of cytosine (C).
A+G = T+C: The total number of purines (A+G) always equals the total number of pyrimidines (T+C).
