The Rural Credit Survey Committee (1954–55) made several recommendations to strengthen agricultural credit and cooperatives in India, including:
State partnership in the share capital of cooperative societies.
Linking credit with marketing to ensure credit flow translates into productive use.
Cooperative education and training to improve management and efficiency.
However, “creation of viable units” was not specifically recommended by this committee. That concept is more associated with agricultural planning and later development programs, not directly with the Rural Credit Survey Committee.
