King Nandivardhan built the Jal Mandir related to Jainism.
The present structure might have been renovated over time, the Jal Mandir in Pawapuri is traditionally believed to have been initially built by King Nandivardhan to commemorate the Nirvana of his brother, Lord Mahavira.
