    Sree Moolam Praja Sabha

    • Sree Moolam Praja Sabha was established in Travancore on October 1, 1904, 
    • It was an important step towards increasing the participation of the people in the governance of the princely state.
    • This assembly marked a significant development in the constitutional history of Travancore, as it provided a platform for representatives to discuss and address various issues related to governance and public welfare.
    • In 1905, It was decided that more than two thirds of the representatives must be
      elected from among the people.
    • On May 1, 1905 a regulation was passed, granting the people the right to elect their representatives.
