Ramakrishna Mission was founded in 1897, by his disciple Swami Vivekananda, in the name of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa.
Its headquarters are at Belur in Kolkata and Khatyari in Almora.
It conducted various socio-religious activities through its branches spread all over the world in various fields such as education, health, the welfare of the poor, relief and rehabilitation, arts and culture, morality, ethics and spirituality irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
