The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is a state-level examination conducted by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in lower and upper primary schools. KTET is divided into four categories, and Category 1 is specifically meant for those who wish to become teachers for Classes I to IV in lower primary schools. This exam tests the candidate’s knowledge in child development, pedagogy, language skills, mathematics, and environmental studies.
The KTET Category 1 exam, meant for candidates aspiring to become teachers for Classes I to IV, is scheduled to be held on August 23, 2025. As per the official notification by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan, the exam for Category 1 will take place in the morning session:
Shift 1: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
(Category 1 exam will be conducted during this shift)
The exam will assess candidates on key areas such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language proficiency, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, all of which are essential for effective teaching at the lower primary level.

The KTET Hall Ticket for the August 2025 exam will be released on August 14, 2025, by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan on its official website – https://ktet.kerala.gov.in. Candidates who have successfully completed the application process between July 3 and July 10, 2025, can download their admit cards by logging in with their application ID and date of birth.
The hall ticket is a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall. It will contain crucial information such as:
Candidate’s Name and Photograph
Roll Number
Exam Date and Time
Exam Category (I, II, III, or IV)
Exam Centre Name and Address
Important Instructions for the Exam Day
Candidates must carefully verify all details mentioned in the hall ticket. In case of any discrepancy, it is advised to contact Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan immediately for correction.
It is compulsory to carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID, or Driving License) to the examination center. Without the hall ticket and ID proof, candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam hall.
