KTET 2025- Cut off

The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has established specific qualifying benchmarks for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2025. Meeting these cut-off marks is a prerequisite for candidates seeking teaching appointments across Lower Primary (LP), Upper Primary (UP), High School (HS), and Higher Secondary (HSS) levels in the state. Understanding the KTET cut-off is important because it tells candidates how many marks are needed to pass the exam. When students know the cut-off in advance, they can prepare better and focus on scoring above the minimum requirement. It also helps them estimate whether they are likely to qualify after the exam.

Minimum Qualifying Criteria

The results are determined based on a category-wise relaxation policy to ensure equitable opportunity:

Candidate Category

Minimum Percentage

Required Score (Out of 150)

General

60%

90 Marks

OBC / SC / ST / PH

55%

82 Marks

September 2025 Session Details

The most recent examination cycle was completed on September 18 and 19, 2025. The sessions were organized as follows:

  • Day 1: Morning (Category I) and Afternoon (Category II).

  • Day 2: Morning (Category III) and Afternoon (Category IV - Specialist/Language/PE).

Regulatory Notes:

  • Lifetime Validity: Qualifying certificates now remain valid for the duration of the holder's career.

  • No Negative Marking: The 150-minute exam did not penalize incorrect answers, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of candidate knowledge.

Conclusion

To qualify for KTET 2025, candidates from the General category must obtain a minimum of 90 marks, whereas those belonging to OBC, SC, ST, and PH categories are required to score at least 82 marks out of 150. The September 2025 KTET examination was successfully conducted over two days, covering all four categories. Aspirants appearing for upcoming KTET exams are advised to target scores well above the prescribed cut-off to ensure qualification.
