Exam & Recruitment Background

The notification for this LD Typist post was issued in 2020, and the selection process involved a 10th-level OMR-based written examination conducted in late 2021. After evaluation and equivalization of marks, the ranked list was published on 17 August 2023 as Ranked List No. 708/2023/ERII. Based on this list, 93 candidates have been advised for appointment so far, with the latest advice issued on 9 June 2025.

The ranked list remains valid for a maximum period of three years, and hence it can be used for advising candidates up to 16 August 2026, subject to availability of reported vacancies.

LD Typist Cut-Off Marks (Cat. No. 325/2020)

For the statewide General category, the preliminary/main exam cut-off after equivalization was approximately:

  • 39.1554 marks

This cut-off was determined based on the OMR test conducted in 2021 and reflects the minimum qualifying score required to enter the ranked list under the General category at the state level.

Category & District-wise Variation

It is important to note that:

  • Cut-off marks vary by category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.) due to reservation rules.

  • Cut-off levels may also differ district-wise, depending on vacancy positions and the number of candidates included in district or area-based advice.

  • For example, districts like Malappuram showed different last advised ranks and marks compared to other districts, based on reporting patterns.

Kerala PSC does not publish a single uniform cut-off list. Instead, the marks of the last advised candidate in each category/district effectively act as the final cut-off.
