The Kerala PSC Police Constable Driver / Woman Police Constable Driver (Category No. 30/2026) is expected to receive a large number of applications from candidates across Kerala. Since the post offers a stable government job under the Kerala Police Department with a salary scale of ₹31,100 – ₹66,800, the competition level is expected to be high.
The final cut off depends on factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the examination, difficulty level of the question paper, number of vacancies, and category-wise competition. Kerala PSC does not announce a fixed cut off before the rank list preparation; the effective cut off is usually understood from the last advised candidates in the rank list.
The previous Police Constable Driver recruitment (Category No. 427/2024) received significant competition. The written examination was conducted on 17 July 2025, and the rank list became active after the selection process. During the validity period of the list, 197 candidates received advice for appointment, showing the limited number of vacancies compared with the number of applicants.
Since the Police Driver rank list has only a one-year validity period, the number of vacancies reported during that period plays an important role in how far the rank list moves.
Based on previous Kerala PSC Police Driver trends, expected competition level, and the limited number of vacancies:
Category | Expected Cut Off Range |
|---|---|
General Category | 70 – 80 Marks |
OBC Categories | 65 – 75 Marks |
SC/ST Categories | 55 – 65 Marks |
(Expected marks only; actual cut off may vary after the examination.)
To get a better position in the Kerala PSC Police Constable Driver rank list, candidates should aim for:
80+ Marks – Very strong rank position
70–80 Marks – Competitive score with good chances
60–70 Marks – Depends on category and vacancy movement
Below 60 Marks – Chances may be lower in a highly competitive exam
The Police Constable Driver cut off can increase or decrease depending on:
Difficulty level of the written examination
Number of candidates attending the exam
Number of reported vacancies from the Kerala Police Department
Candidate performance
Category-wise reservation benefits
Candidates preparing for Category No. 30/2026 should focus on scoring above 70 marks to remain competitive, while a target of 80+ marks can provide a safer position in the rank list.
