Since the Preliminary exam is part of the common degree-level test, the cut-off marks vary slightly depending on the category and number of candidates. Below is the approximate cut-off marks observed in the previous degree-level prelims (2022–2023):

The Main examination cut-off is more relevant to the final selection. The following are the approximate cut-off marks for the previous SI Main exam:
