Read Explanation:

Solution:

Given:

12 men and 16 women can complete a job in 5 days. 13 men and 24 women can complete the same job in 4 days.

Concept used:

Time and work

Calculation:

Equating the total work

⇒ (12 M + 16 W) × 5 = (13 M + 24 W) × 4

⇒ 60 M + 80 W = 52 M + 96 W

⇒ 8 M = 16 W

MW=21\frac{M}{W}=\frac{2}{1}

Total work =  (12 M + 16 W) × 5

Total work = (12 × 2 + 16 × 1)× 5

Total work = 200 unit

5 men and 10 women take to complete the same job in

⇒ (5 × 2 + 10 × 1) = 20 unit

20020=10days\frac{200}{20}=10days
