B76 days

C90 days

D84 days

Answer:

A. 87 days

Read Explanation:

Solution:

Given:

Amit's work time = 120 days; Amit+Sejal's work time = 72 days; Sejal worked for 20 days

Solution:

Time taken

Total work

Efficiency

Amit

120

360

3

Amit + Sejal

72

5

Total work = 360

Since, they work together for 20 days,

So,

Work done in 20 days by both = 5 × 20 = 100

Now,

Remaining work = 360 - 100 = 260

So, Time taken by Amit to complete the remaining work

⇒ 260/3 = 86.66 ≈ 87 days

∴ The correct answer is option (A).
