Ezhava memorial was submitted to Sree Mulam Thrirunal on 3rd September 1896. The leader of Ezhava Memorial was Dr. Palpu . Disappointed by the attitude of the Government of Travancore, another memorial was submitted before Lord Curzon-the Viceroy- when he visited Travancore in 1900. This is known as Second Ezhava Memorial.
