ഇതൊരു Interrogative Sentence ആണ്. ചോദ്യ രൂപത്തിൽ ഉള്ള Sentence ആണ് Interrogative Sentence.
Interrogative Sentence നെ report ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ reporting verb ആയി asked, enquired, questioned, wanted to know എന്നിവ ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.
'That' ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല.
പകരം connective word ആയി Question word തന്നെ ഉപയോഗിക്കണം.
Indirect speech ൽ question mark (?) ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല.
ഇവിടെ തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന question 'yes/no' question ആണ്.
അതിനാൽ If/Whether ൽ ആയിരിക്കണം Indirect Speech എഴുതാൻ.
Direct Speech ൽ 'said to ' വന്നതിനാൽ ഇവിടെ reporting verb ആയി 'asked' ആണ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
Connecting word ആയി Question word ആയ 'whether ' ഉപയോഗിക്കണം.
ഒരു question ന്റെ ക്രമം auxiliary verb + subject എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ subject + auxiliary verb എന്നാക്കി മാറ്റുക.
ഇവിടെ will+ you എന്നത് I + would എന്നാകും.
Direct Speech ൽ 'will' വന്നതിനാൽ Indirect Speech ൽ അത് 'would' ആകും.
