Intellectual property theft
Intellectual Property (IP) includes creations of the mind, such as software code, algorithms, trade secrets, copyrights, and patents belonging to a company. Copying and selling proprietary software without authorization constitutes IP theft (often referred to as software piracy or corporate espionage).
The other options (privacy violation, identity theft, and theft of private information) deal with personal data and identities of individuals rather than a company's proprietary software assets.
