The primary goal of the India Stack Global initiative is to showcase India's successful digital public infrastructure (DPI) to the world. It aims to offer this technology to other countries, particularly those in the Global South, to help them with their own digital transformations.
Sharing Expertise: It shares India's experience and lessons learned from building a DPI at a massive scale, reaching over a billion people.
Providing Building Blocks: It offers other nations the core components of the India Stack, such as Aadhaar (digital identity), UPI (real-time payments), and DigiLocker (digital document storage), as ready-to-use solutions.
Fostering Digital Inclusion: The initiative is particularly focused on helping developing countries achieve financial and social inclusion by providing them with the tools to build their own inclusive digital ecosystems.
Promoting Open Source: It advocates for a model of open-source and interoperable digital infrastructure, which can be adapted and customized to suit the specific needs of different countries.
