The Kambala dance is a dance form related to agriculture of the Adiya community of Wayanad.
This dance is mainly related to paddy cultivation. It is performed during the sowing of seeds in the fields or on the occasion of harvest festivals.
Men and women come together and sing songs and take steps. This dance helps to reduce the strain of agricultural work and increase unity.
The thudi and kuzhalu are mainly used for background music. Folk songs in the Adiya language are sung in this.
Gaddhika: Although it is an art form of the Adiya community itself, it is mainly a ritual art for healing and warding off evil spirits.
Eruthunritham: This is an art form mainly associated with the Malappulaya community of the Palakkad region.
Mangkuth: This is a dance form popular among the Kuruma community in Wayanad itself.
