    Eligibility Criteria for KTET Category 3 (Physical Science)

    Educational Qualifications

    Candidates must meet the following academic criteria to apply for KTET Category 3 as a Physical Science teacher:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline with at least 45% marks from a recognized university.
      (40% marks for SC/ST and differently abled candidates; 42.5% for OBC.)

    2. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) in Physical Science or a related subject recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

    Final-Year Candidates

    • Those in the final year of their B.Ed. program are also eligible to apply, provided they can produce proof of completing their degree during document verification.

    Age Limit

    • There is no upper age limit for KTET Category 3, making it accessible to candidates at any stage of their career.

    KTET Category 3 Exam Date – 2025

    The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) for Category III and Category IV is scheduled for May 30, 2025. This exam is a key step for those aiming to become high school teachers or language teachers up to the high school level. Candidates are advised to focus on their final revision and practice to perform well.

    As per the schedule released by Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan, the exam will be held in two shifts:

    • Shift 1 (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM): Category III

    • Shift 2 (2:00 PM – 4:30 PM): Category IV
