Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is a student evaluation system that assesses a student's development in all aspects, including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains:
Cognitive domain
Evaluates cognitive abilities like knowledge, understanding, and application
Affective domain
Evaluates attributes like attitudes, motives, interests, and other personality traits
Psychomotor domain
Evaluates a student's ability to use their hands, such as in handwriting, construction, and projects
CCE uses a variety of assessment techniques, including:
Informal assessments: Also known as formative assessments, these are used during the learning process
Formal testing: Also known as summative assessments, these are used at the end of the term
Unit tests: These are used to assess a student's abilities
Half-yearly tests: These are used to assess a student's abilities
Annual tests: These are used to assess a student's abilities
CCE's main goal is to evaluate a student's development in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas. Scholastic areas include curricular and subject-specific areas, while co-scholastic areas include life skills, co-curricular, attitudes, and values.
