Edward O. Wilson is known as the father of biodiversity. He was a Harvard biologist who popularized the term "biodiversity" to describe the variety of life at all levels of biological organization. Wilson also wrote a book called Sociobiology: The New Synthesis in 1975, which suggested a link between human behavior and genetics.
