If the ratio of the angles of a triangle is 2 : 4 : 3, then what is the sum of the smallest angle of the triangle and the largest angle of the triangle?

A120°

B100°

C140°

D110°

Answer:

A. 120°

Read Explanation:

Concept used:

Sum of all the angles of the triangle is 180°

Calculation:

Let, the value of the angles be 2x, 4x and 3x

According to the questions,

⇒ 2x + 4x + 3x = 180°

⇒ 9x = 180°

⇒ x = 20°

Sum of the smallest angle and largest angle = 2x + 4x =2×20o+4×20o=12002\times{20^o}+4\times{20^o}=120^0

∴ The sum of largest and smallest angle is 120°
