The perimeter of a square, the perimeter of an equilateral triangle and the circumference of a circle are equal to 132 cm. Which shape covered maximum area?

ASquare

BCircle

CTriangle

DAll of these

Answer:

B. Circle

Read Explanation:

Given, Perimeter of square = Perimeter of triangle = circumference of circle = 132 cm

∴ Side of the square (4a) = 132

⇒ side of the square = 33 cm

Perimeter of triangle (3a) = 132

Side of triangle = a = 44

Area of triangle = 34×44×44\frac{\sqrt{3}}{4}\times{44}\times{44} = 838 (Approx.)

Circumference of circle = 2πr = 132

Radius of circle (r) = 21

Area of a circle = 227×21×21\frac{22}{7}\times{21}\times{21} = 1386

So Circle has covered the maximum area.
